A few quick answers on how Drinks Dey works — paying, delivery, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Is my money safe when I pay?
Yes. When you check out, we open a dedicated account just for that order. Your money sits there, it does not go straight to the seller. We only release it once your drinks reach you.
Do I pay the seller directly?
No, and that is the whole point. You never send money to a seller's personal account. Every payment goes into the order account we open for you, so nobody can collect your cash and disappear.
What happens if my drinks never arrive?
Because we hold the money until delivery, an order that does not arrive does not get paid out. You get your money back.
What if I get the wrong drinks, or the count is short?
Tell us before you confirm the order. While a delivery is still open we are holding the funds, so we can arrange a replacement, a top-up, or a refund on the part that was wrong.
The account number changes every time I order. Is that normal?
Completely normal. Each order gets its own fresh account number so your payment is matched to the right order automatically. An account number unique to your order is a good sign, not a risk.
What stops a seller taking my money and not delivering?
The seller does not touch your money until you have your drinks in hand. We hold it, we confirm delivery, then we pay them. No delivery, no payout. That is how the whole marketplace stays honest.
Can I pay with card, or only by transfer?

How soon will my drinks arrive?
Most orders in Lagos and Abuja arrive the same day, usually between 30 and 90 minutes after a rider accepts your trip. The seller's distance and traffic decide the rest, and you see a live estimate before you confirm.
What is the smallest order I can place?
One pack. Prices drop as you buy in sets, so a crate or carton always works out cheaper per bottle than a single pack.
Are the sellers real, and are the drinks genuine?
Every seller with a Verified badge has had their shop, stock and bank details checked by our team. If anything arrives wrong or short, report it in the app and we settle it with the seller, not with you.
How does picking a rider work?
Once your order is confirmed, riders near the seller bid for the trip. You see each rider's rating, distance and offer, then choose. The rider's fee is a separate transaction between you and them.
Can I collect the order myself?
Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and you get the seller's address and a collection code. Nothing is released without the code.
